I just built a new computer and unfortunately it is not starting up. Nothing happens when I press the power switch ( yes it is plugged in). Due to a very very bad instrucion manual for the case, I was not sure if i placed the case power wires to the motherboard jumpers correctly ( with the correct polarities), but I switched them and tried it again, and nothing happened. Last time I built a comp, the jumpers were incorrectly set, but I checked it this time. Any help appreciated, thank you.

OK

1st thing to check, if everythings properly connected and there power going in, there should be a small led light somewhere on the motherboard which indicates theres power in the system. If not, check the rocker switch on the back of the PSU is in the ON position (that's caught me out a couple of times) and check that the power cable is good by plugging into your monitor for example.

Make sure the 4pin 12V power cable is connected to the motherboard.

Check the power switch on the case itself. has it come loose, is there any broken wires.

The cable from the case to the connector on the motherboard isn't polarity sensitive, if it's connected to the right pins it should work.
