NEVERMIND, used old OEM CD...needs to be current one with SP1 at least, darn new dell's don't ship with them unless you pay extra, ah well.

You need to install service pack 2. It isn't the PC limiting you, it is a Windows XP limit prior to service pack 2.

Best way is get a slip streamed service pack 2 Windows XP Disk when you reinstall. As it is now you can install SP2, but then you would need a partitioning tool to expand the partition to take the entire drive.
