ok first of all I currently have a truly awe-inspiring cold. Why I decided to start looking at parts for a computer now may just be because I cant seem to concentrate.
This will be the first computer I have ever built from the ground up. Though at any given time I have had to fix or replace every part in computers I just never really have had enough money all at once to build one. Money wise I want this build to be less than 1300. I also want something thats going to last me a while since I highly doubt the wife will let me spend this type of cash again. I also want something that I can stick some upgrades in the future unlike my current desktop.
This is my full list of hardware that I have come up with. What I am looking for is to make sure that in my Nyquil sodden state I haven't made a stupid error like picking the wrong power supply or something.
I live in Hawaii where they love to overcharge us for shipping. All the below links are to newegg because I talked a sales rep over there into cutting 35 dollars off my 111 dollar shipping price tag. Additionally like many in Hawaii I don't have air conditioning. I have chosen a case that I hope will provide enough cooling to offset this.
My main use for this computer is gaming with some editing and encoding of video, photo, and audio.
Wherever possible I tried to go with newegg combos to shave a bit of cash off the pricetag.
My current pricetag is 1289. Can anyone see a way to make it a bit cheaper? yet still get a similar bang for my buck?
Thanks in advance.
