New comp doesn't boot properly, help

I have built a new computer today, and I just fired it up for the first time.

It's on right now but I don't see anything on my monitor. The monitor is on and everything, lights green, but there's just blackness.

I can hear the fans running so it shouldn't be their fault.

What should I do?

EDIT: specs: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, A64 3200+, Corsair 1024MB RAM, Asus Extreme GF6600GT PCIe.

Should I connect some sort of cable to the video card? I didn't see any such connector.

Never mind, it shows up now. 🙂

The main thing now is that the CPU runs at 35 degrees Celsius when in BIOS (idle)...

I guess I should install that case fan thingy.

35 C is fine. More than fine actually. I suspect your probe is inaccurate. The CPU temp should be higher unless you're water cooling or doing something else bizarre.
