two ways to look at this...logically that is......either it's o.k. to have "color" specific scholarships...or it's NOT ok to have "color" specific scholarships..

the hypocrisy is going be on display if the "whites only" scholarship is disallowed, while "black" only scholarships persist...

lol. sure why not. Theres nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, no matter what race you are and if they'd like to focus on a subsection of the races of the world, they can go right ahead. I can only hope that a person who truly needs the scholarship gets it

What are the problems in a "host" environment? Any problems a minority would have in a majority. In nature or in a society.

Oh those College Republicans and their shock tactics. They all must attend some summer camp where Ann Coulter is their counselor.

At my school, the local chapter held an affirmative action bake sale just like other chapters all across the country. The problem is, my school doesn't use affirmative action in the admissions process.

I've never been ashamed to be part of the most priveldged gender of the most priveledge race in the most priveledged nation in the world but it's not something that I ever took pride in. The way I look at it is that I had nothing personally to do with it so what's there to be proud of?

The only way to end racism is to stop thinking of race as real.
There are so many ways to differentiate between people . The way race is used it is easy to think of the other races as being so completely different from you. In actuality there is just as much difference between you and a person of the same race.If you're white, tall and skinny and a black man is tall and skinny, how genetically similar are you to him? Probably as similar as you are to the other white man who is short and fat. So race is one of many qualities that can be used to describe people.It should only be used to describe people though, it should not be used to divide people.
