New Civics are EVERYWHERE

There are at last count 6 new Civics ('06) in my apartment parking lot (out of 50-60 cars.) Besides that, I see them everywhere when I go out, while I'm driving on the highway, etc. The weird thing is that Rochester is such an 'old car town'...people here don't seem to change cars very frequently and I see a lot more hoopties here than I do in Charlotte.

Has our Ace Reporter given us any sales figures for the first few months? Anyone here get one yet, or are y'all waiting for the Si?

I havn't really seen many around Buffalo area.
Though besides the new Si I can't tell much of a difference from the 03 04 and 05's.

I don't like the exterior of the new civics, they kinda look like corollas now.

but yeah, they are everywhere.

Haven't you heard? Corolla styling is the new standard for everyone to imitate.

The new Civic has been sold out at the local dealer here. Since Pocatello is a college town, Civics everywhere on the road, old and new. I don't like the gauge design of the new Civic.

Maybe, but there are lots of other sports cars that offer auto as an option

Depending on definition, Civic != sports car.
Typically one doesn't get an automatic transmission for a car meant for performance if performance is truly what the buyer seeks.

Maybe 5-10 years ago. Auto Tranny's have, for the most part, caught up to their standard counterpart in terms of MPG and any lag associated with the TC.
