I need help deciding which Asus Motherboard to use with the new P4 1.7 processor I just got for x-mas..Which one would be a good choice?..I'm really looking for the best model I can get..I personally like the ASUS P4T-E , but I would like to hear what other ASUS boards you might choose..

Did you get a 478- or 423-pin P4?

I have an Asus P4T-E (478-pin), and an Intel (423-pin), both rambus. RIMMs are currently not that much more expensive than decent DDR (and may be cheaper than low-latency DDR), and will easily overclock by 10%. I run memory-intensive apps, and get a great boost from rambus vs. DDR; but for most people, the difference (between rimms and ddr) doesn't matter much.

The Asus board, like all asus boards, seems a little quirky -- one mouse wouldn't work with it (but worked with 6 other computers), and ECC support is iffy. The Intel D850GB is going strong, never an issue, after almost 11 months.
