Phoenix customers (and maybe other cities) have some new channels on the digital Variety Tier. Cox has added Noggin, MTV Hits, VH1 Megahits, VH1 Classic, VH1 Country, Nick Toons, and Nickelodeon Gas. I'm most excited about VH1 Classic. 80's videos and even an hour devoted to metal! Woo Hoo! Finally, Cox did something right.

Edit: And for Variety Tier customers, they added a Sports Tier for free, and added NBA TV. I wonder if they'll pick up NFL TV!

I wouldn't go that far! :)

Yeah, I was excited about Noggin', until I found out that they dropped The Electric Company and Sesame Street Unplugged (classic Sesame Street episodes from the 70's & 80's).

Hmmm, they're supposed to be making changes to our system beginning Wed. 11/5, I wonder if those channels are part of what they're supposedly upgrading. If so, I'd think about getting digital cable again. I'm pissed right now that they are taking away my two pay-per-view channels from expanded basic, and moving them up to the digital side. Now I'm actually going to have to 'buy' the PPV's I want to see.

Edit: Off topic, did you add Trans-Siberian Orchestra to your Christmas Station yet? If not, I won't listen. ;)

Looks like we also got MTV2 for the Omaha-market. A bit of bitterness on my part, <sarcasm> it sure is nice that they tell the fieldtechs about the channel additions before they actually happen.</sarcasm> I found out about the new channels when I was flipping through the guide and noticed the new channels. I just found out about MTV2 this morning just before I left for work.
