I got the Nokia 8265 on the way and I need to know how to treat the battery. Should I charge it all the time like every night? Or when? Should I let the battery drain out all the way or not? Just any tips please because I didn't do a good job on my 3360. Thanks!

Odds are you will receive a lithium ion battery which should last at least 1000 charges.

Just charge it everytime the battery runs out or gets low. Also charge it when you haven't used the battery in awhile.

I prefer to only run mine down all the way like the first 3 cycles, after that just when it needs like it. Everyone has an opinion though so I'll play it safe and say when it dies just buy a new one for $10 :D

No matter what your battery will stop holding a charge sooner or later. Usually for cell phone batteries, they will last about 2 years before they start getting pretty bad.

I reccomend charging it only when necessary. Let it reach near dead and then charge it. Overcharging isn't much of a factor however now as most newer cell phones stop charging when full.

soy is right on this one...cycle it the first 3 times you charge it and after that you can beat on it pretty hard...lion batteries tend to take abuse alot better than the old stuff...plus it sounds like you have att wireless and they give you a one year warr on your battery

eidt: oh yeah...if ya didnt know i sell phones so i am not just spouting off on this one

given batteries are only $10-$20, why bother taking the time to make it last. they all die eventually no matter how well you take care of them.
