I've got a Celeron 400mhz computer right now, and I just read the post about Intel prices going down up to 55% for a few of their chips. The 1.2Ghz chip sounds like a good upgrade for me for only $103. But will it work on my motherboard? How can I find out...

Well that depends! The 1.2 ghz Celeron might have a 133mhz bus or a 100mhz bus I can't remember what Intel has decided. A 400mhz Cleron has an FSB of 66mhz. If thats all your board supports you can't get a 1.2ghz Celeron. Find out what the 1.2ghz FSB is going to be and then find out what your mobo supports. If you can support the FSB then you'll probaly have no problems!

if you want a better value-priced processor go with the AMD processors that are 1 ghz and under. I picked up a 1 ghz chip for 90 from newegg three days ago.
