I can confirm that they are different from the ones on the disc.

They are titled 11.12 whereas the ones on the disc were just some number

** edit**

I can also confirm a fix

With the drivers on the disc I was getting corruption on smoke effects in Skyrim using AA. Now it is fixed.

I linked those in one the other 7970 threads yesterday for those suckers!

Just wondering what they fixed tho as didn't see release notes for them.

Hopefully they fixed some of the issues from the bag on AMD crossfire thread :)

Why "suckers"?

I didn't expect any sympathy when I paid over $500 for the best single card out in the form of a GTX 580, and I don't expect any now that I bought a 7970.

If any of you Suckers feel bad about being a Sucker, you can always send me your 7970 and I'll be the SUCKER for you :)

Sarcasm/slang use of suckers. :)

See you later suckers! Isn't the same use of the word like. Children like suckers.

Do wish they would fix search soon.

i must admit that i never in my wildest dreams thought a thread title would upset so many. i have been member here since 1999 and have never received any warnings or infractions. to get one for a thread title like that is beyond words. i apoligise if i upset anybody with the title, it was not meant to upset anybody.

I connected an Asus 7970 to a 30" monitor using the dual-link DVI port with the drivers that came on the CD. Immediately noticed a distracting flickering across the screen, mostly on the top edge of the monitor. It flickered on the desktop and also in the configuration screen for Civilization 5. I installed the online drivers released on January 9 and the flickering disappeared.
