Here it is again, and keep the thread on topic. No flaming. No Nvidia comparisons. This thread is what it is. If an Nvidia comparison is needed, start a separate thread pertaining to that topic only.

I don't blame Virge for locking it.

Attack the message not the messenger. (or at least PM me). ;)

Hmm... Now when I think about it I did start to get my first BSODs in Vista recently (it does coincide awfully close with the 8.11 release)... But then again my OS is on its last leg, so I hammer it with everything I can think of just to see how much punishment it can take (before doing a fresh install, obviously!). So I'm guessing it is unrelated (as I get several different BSODs).

I had the issue too. Once I backed off my CPU OC a lil bit, the issue went away. I just attributed it to an unstable OC. Maybe others have the same issue??? This is on a Asus P5Q Deluxe BTW

My BSOD issues were eliminated when I uninstalled the control center software. I dont know if that is an option with CF?

i haven't seen any issues with Cat 8-11 and Vista 32; not with X2 - my 4870/1GB went back to NewEgg for RMA yesterday
- unrelated thermal issues :p

i guess all the reported issues are with Vista 64; 8 more days and Cat 8-12 is released - i am sorry but i do NOT care to install Vista64 just for the next 7 days to try it
