Ah, at last... I was starting to worry that they might not get a release out this month.
I'd better grab them right away... could be the last Catalysts I'll be using in quite a while :)

doesnt seem like anything much to the 10.7's :(

 Wow, that may be one of the most shocking statements I have read in this forum.

EDIT: On as side note, I do use Catalyst drivers for my tuner card. But I have not seen any updates listed. Are these listed in a separate section maybe? My cable company is dropping analog and I need to see if I can get QAM working.

I was curious about the small increase in overall speed, so I ran the Just Cause 2 Concrete Benchmark with the installed 10.4 drivers and got 48 FPS average.

Installed the 10.7 drivers and profiles, and now I'm getting 37 FPS with the exact same settings.

What the hell :p

Oh dear as an ATI fan I'm serisously considering moving back to the green camp. No profile update for Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead means my 5970/5870 tri-fire system uses one (yes just 1!!) of my GPU's. Sort this s**t out ATI I'm losing patience. Oh and some performance increases in demanding games would be nice rather than 3D mark and irrelevant benchmarks.

Try the following for Crossfire support, go to the registry and find or create a 32-Bit DWORD with the name MVPUMode and use the following values for the desired effect.:

3100 - AFR
3200 - scissor
3300 - super tiling
3400 - super FSAA

Or rename the game's exe to AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe and try. It worked for me in lots of games except Assassin Creed 2 which would flicker, but using V-Sync fixed the issue.

Solofly, at this rate, you're going to run out of vid card companies to hate! ;)
I can't test anything anymore because I got rid of my 5870 even before the 10.4's came out.
But I'll say you guys have my sympathies.

Now the only question left is, will two 460's be enough or will I need 470's to satisfy my hunger ...

Where are the game performance upgrades?
Nvidia just keeps getting faster and I haven't seen a good ATI improvement in games in a while.
Neither has Anand's review crew....
Quote from Anands gtx 460 review...
"As for our Radeon cards,we are continuing to use the 10.3 drivers. Radeon 5000 series performance has not changed for the games in our suite since those driver where released"

The 10.4's did help my powerplay problems though and my dual monitor flickering problem.

Where are the game performance upgrades?

10.4's 10.6's had performance improvements, as does this release for Borderlands. Nvidia has release 2 solid performance drivers since release, ATI has released many more than that since release (naturally, they had a 6month head start). The way the driver team operates you cannot expect every month a new driver that increases every game by 5%, it would be nice if that happned but driver teams need to prioritise other things many months prior (it takes 2 months generally from when a driver is 'finnished' to when it arrives with WHQL certification for download). These priorities may be panel scaling, video features or bug fixes, none of which are trivial investments.
