Just installed. Not a huge fan of gimmicks and case mods, but this is a nice way to light up my room at night, and I have a window for a reason :)

Switch

The switch was installed in the 3.5 bay door via dremel and saw. Just thought someone might get a kick out of this.

nice start. add an applique on the window for some added dimension. shatteredweb.com makes custom appliques. check out my mod (in sig) for a sample of their applique work.

CorporateRecreation, I did a similar install quite a few months ago and while the pics look sweet IMO, you're better off mounting the CC in the top of your rig, that way you never see it, you just see the light for effect :)

I suppose that's an idea, the cords are a bit of the problem, I can just cut and rejoin I suppose.

1.) Your case looks incredibly empty. If I tried a CC light it wouldn't go much farther than a few inches
2.) Your case looks nasty from the dust on the front, ick.
3.) Any plans for a second one?

That's the same issue I had to deal w/ CorporateRecreation, what bothered me was the fact that when I stood up from my chair and looked down at my rig, I wasn't happy staring at the CC.

I recently put a purple and a UV CCFL in my case, can't really tell the UV is in there at all tho, i suppose i should have gotten another purple. I also have 3 purple LED fans

Here is a horrible picture of it, w/ glare and all kinds of stuff

Actually, it's just fingerprints. I thought it was dirty when I saw it too but it's just a weird plastic where everything that touches it is visible on the surface.

And because CorporateRecreation didn't say it (idiot), thanks to minendo for donating the CC for his case's cause.

I did a mod on my Antec SX1200 case. The side panel has 7 4" circular "portal" windows cut into it in a pattern with 4 "portals" above the mobo area for a better view. I manually etched an ion/atom in the middle portal. There's a blue cold cathode light inside below the PSU area and a 80 mm blue LED fan in the lower front-intake bracket. I even rounded my IDE cables but I haven't wrapped them up in blue tape yet...

I don't have any pics just because I'm too lazy to get my camera out.

1) - It's a linux server, and it's quite full thank you.
2) - Fingerprints taken care of, just moved back
3) - No, that's overkill.

Oh, I forgot to mention your case looks bitchin' ;) I need to mod one of the portals in the side of my case into a fan-hole since they are just about the right size. I don't know how I'd go about doing it since there's an entire sheet of plexiglass epoxied to the back of the side-panel and I'm afraid it might crack if I go drilling into it.

It's really not that complex, one cord goes from the inverter to the power supply, the other goes to the cathode light, the switch took a bit of work to install into the case, but other than that, it was quite simple. Total install time: 3 min.
