I got a new 2nd hand case as I might get a AiO water cooler

its the original phantom

http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/34-phantom.html

looking for fans for the case and possible kraken x60 (would I better to just get a meaty Heat sink and mount my beefy fans on it)

and I don't like what I see :ninja:

I have 6 spare 120mm fans that are quite beefy (were ultra cheap too $4 NZ but had no connectors on the end)

http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_1955028_-1

118CFM 8.38 mm H2O, the down side is the dead space in the middle is bigger than most std compu fans (& they use quite a bit more W than std compu fans 8.4W).

1. Would these be suitable for The radiator on push, would I need some sort of shroud options (since large dead space in middle and mounting holes), shrouds adaptors (120-140 or 120-200 for side intake) seem limited in NZ as well as decent fans

If a 140mm will be a lot better about the best I can see so far in NZ is the Akasa Viper, but compared to my 120mm fans seems dismal 110CFM 3.12mm H2O

2. Are there any 140mm High CFM (i.e >118 by a decent amount) fans for my front intake, pressure can be lower since low resistance intake

3. And finally are there any good 200mm fans for pull on the radiator/and or side intake since I have the mount at the top of the case, do they need good static pressure for pull on the radiator (at least higher CFM by a decent margin than my 120mm fans)

Noise concerns are for pussies
and my computer is situated many rooms away from my displays and input device

Meanwhile my 4770k is dying to be oced but is mad at me for having a stock cooler

Decided to go with an air cooler NH-C14

i had to go C-14 as i modded the side panel to take my industrail 120mm fans they are 38mm thick so limits the head room in the case, need 150mm of height or less

i will try and fit 2 of the 38mm thick fans on the C-14 if i can

if i went Aio i wouldnt of had room to use the powerfull 120mm fans in push pull

and since i move my rig on occasion to a friends house i dont want the risk of the Aio springing a leak

i have a 38mm thick 120mm fan on the front intake

modded the case to fit 2x120mm 38mm thick fans on the side as intake (over cpu and ram)

i made a mistake and now my rear exahust wont take a 38mm thick fan aswell due to my mod

i would of changed it to intake aswell, i will just have to use a pussy fan on there now (hopefull it can blow in against all the pressure these fans generate)

and i will use 2 x of the highest cfm 200m fans i can on the top for exhaust

while the 120mm fans are loud it doesnt worry me at home when i take it away to a mates i will just drop the speed on the fan controller to low and its accpetable then

i will post some thermals when i get the cpu heatsink installed, before hand on stock cpu fan the cpu would hit a 100c in 1min on a stress test, in the old case with the side intakes it only hit 80 odd, now shes is modded it is slightly better than before but i dont have all the fans in yet.
