New case and now no video or beep code.

I changed pc cases this weekend and now I can't get a video signal or system post. I disconnected all the drives (HD, CD) and only connect monitor, mouse, and keyboard, yet I still get nothing. The power and CPU fans spin up and stay running, but no video or beep code. I pulled the ram chip and I did get beeps from that, so I know the speaker is connected correctly. I have checked and rechecked all the connections. I cleared the COMS via jumper as my Motherboard guide instructed. I am using onboard video with this system and do not have a PCIe or PCI video card to see if I could get a video signal that way.
BTW, my motherboard is an ASUS P5GD1-VM, (P4, w/OB video, NIC, & audio). I have never used a video card with this motherboard, everything has just worked out of the box since I got it.
Is this a CPU problem? Or is it the motherboard, maybe a bad connection? Any advise and ideas would be appreciated. Sorry about any spelling errors or bad grammar, I've been up for awhile. Thank you. -john

Also, do you still get audio beeps from the system if the CPU is not working?

Check power/reset buttons connection. Buttons themselves (stuck or broken). Try to jump start without them. Then if no change ? out of the case.

If still no change follow simple diagnostics ? outside of case psu+mb+cpu/cooler+1 stick of ram in 1st slot (closest to cpu)+ graphics (or onboard in your case). Physical check>clear CMOS via removing 3v battery for a minute>change memory>change PSU>change CPU>change mobo. Pay attention to beeps/leds as described in your mobo manual.
