New carb is on the truck... kinda

click on the pic of the carb, and in the drop down box in the corner select "truck"

EDIT: I think in IE you have to select "category list" then click "truck". I need to fix that.

wtf is that huge thing in the lower right with the 2 hoses coming out?

AC compressor.

I'm planning on petty much restoring it. I'm not going to tear it down to the frame or anything, but it will be much, much nicer 🙂

Considering I have a total of almost $200 invested in the truck, including the carb, I don't think I'm doing too bad.

tell me that doesn't work still.

Ah... the good ol' Motorcraft two-barrel.

Used to rebuild them in my sleep.

TIP OF THE DAY: If you aren't getting a snappy accelleration, remove the spring from the accellerator pump and cut off one coil and then reinstall the spring. I used to do that on every single rebuild.

Mabey you should clean the engine.
Yeah, I'll get to it, I've only had the truck for a few weeks.

Hey guy, I dont think its NOT a good idea to show your license plate # for the whole world to see!

Anyway, thats a 75'? Thoes are so easy. I have a 81' olds delta 88' im tring to restore also, I already spent $3000 on a new motor, installation and all, now im tring to restore the body, trim and all that. What sux is, ive only had the new motor a few months, and theres already leaks in the oil pan gasket, maybe from loose bolts. And the A.C. needs a freon charge. These older cars are more trouble than they are worth, I just use it for a 2nd car.

now, here's a problem. should i go with a crate motor (new), or go with a used 460?
Depends whether you've got more money or more time.

Is that the 360 small block in the Ford? I had a 1974 F100 Custom with a 360 small block, and that thing HAULED ASS. 😀 I had to put sand bags in the back, but they didn't do any good because I'd slam on the brakes or goose it and they'd go flying around in the back. Every time I hit the brakes hard, they'd slide forward and *WHAM* into the back of the cab and every time I thought I'd been hit by another driver.
