Nice ride, but the interior in my opinion is lacking.

How come U.S. auto makers don't understand the concept of attractive interior a la imports?

Sweet Car!

I test drove one and I loved it. The interior looks good in the R/T, I don't know if it's vastly different in the lower trim models. I would get one but it doesn't come in a manual transmission :(

How come Americans don't undertstand they're tanking a decent sized portion of Metro Detroit's economy due to buying imports?

Why the hell would I care about Detroit's economy?

If Detroit wants my business then they'll have to make some decent cars that I would actually want to buy. Until they do that, they get none of my business. Frankly, the economy of Detroit doesn't enter into the equation at all in my car buying decision.

I rode in an SRT-8 about 2 weeks ago. It just throws you back in the seat. It also guzzles gas faster than an irishman drinks a pint. Only about 15mpg premium.

This R/T that I got is rated at 17/25 and uses midgrade gas.

Is it actually red?

Thats the actual one.

It's a R/T with the convience package and no other options. Tried to make it as cheap per month as possible.

Looking forward to getting behind the wheel of 340 horses :D

How much?!

Some American cars arent even made in Detroit or in USA for that matter. I think some of the Toyota and Honda cars are more American!

And yes, if Detriot want my business, they have to make something that fit my criteria....and so far...none.

Just picked it up! Man is this thing sweet, and I can't believe how huge it is. Barely fits in my garage. Seats are comfy and the view while driving is great. Just have to get used to parking a car this large. Much bigger than the crossfire I turned in.

And the dumbest statement of 2006 award goes too...

This country of ours was built on the idea of capitalism and open markets. If you don't like that and/or if you'd prefer that our companies fall behind competition because they're somehow entitled to the customers, maybe you'd find yourself more comfortable in country like Cuba.

The crossfire is much more pleasing on the eye to me, it also turns more heads in a good way.
The charger is just more bleh, nothing special in the aesthetics department.

lots of hate from the fast and furious crowd.. they want to brainwash everyone with their 15hp stickers, 15 buck fartcan and performance windshield washer leds. their cars lack torque, and the riceer lacks intelligence.

The crossfire was a fantastic car. Especially since I had a convertible. Small and nimble, handled with ease. Believe it or not, the Charger actually handles with less effort than the crossfire. Plus you get the sweet growl of the Hemi. If I don't get a ticket with this car it'll be a miracle. You barely touch the gas on the highway and you're pushing 100. Gotta keep a constant eye on the odometer.

I played around with the autostick. Its an automatic, but you can wiggle the shifter back and forth to go through the gears. Very easy to get the tires spinning at a stop light when you step on it in first gear. Hell, they even spin off of a stop when I'm in "D" with the traction control on.

is the autostick pretty quick in its response? sometimes manu-matics can lag pretty badly

Also another interesting point to make is, both my crossfire and charger have/had leather seats. The ones in the Charger are much, much softer and more comfortable.

Haven't had the opportunity to take the car on a long trip yet, but I can definately feel the difference already.

Also, I'm 6'5". When I put the driver seat all the way back, I can barely reach the radio on the dash. Thats how much legroom you can get :)

seriously, trying to support generally inferior products because of blind nationalism is corporate welfare at best and skates around being some kind of communism/socialism.

besides, depending on who you ask, chrysler isn't even really an american car company any more. Daimler-Chrysler's board is mostly german now, including their chairman.
