Hey guys,

Took my 2007 Nissan Versa off the road since I recently paid her off and got myself another car payment lol

only pic I have at the moment:

06 Altima SE-R 6 speed, 39k, loaded, really clean, got it for 15,2.

Guess its a "high" price but whatever, has brand new tires and brakes. Just got it tinted today and took that pic with my phone.

It's quite the change but I'm loving it.

Glad you like your new car, but you got robbed.

Of course he did, he had a paid off car that was driving and bought another car on credit. I'm not against buying a car on credit when you need to but it's silly to get one as soon as you finally pay off your previous one.

Well, that is around the price listed for it on edmunds and kbb.. but wow I didn't think it would be that much for an 06.

I would put a car like that at 10K give or take.

10k for a plain ass Altima maybe. The SE-R should be worth a bit more. OP needs to get a sound clip asap. Those cars have a nice growl to them.

I'm as surprised as you. Could probably get an Audi for that price pretty easily.

Looks like he did OK to me:

It's not a question of how it compares to other Altima's or what the kbb is on it. It's a question of the value compared to other similar cars of the same year.

A very nice Audi indeed. A very decent Benz or Bimmer under 100K miles wouldn't be out of the question for $15K.

LOL.

1. I didn't buy it as part of some "smart financial move", I bought it because the versa is plain ass BORING to drive, it does what it does, and does it well but it just wasn't for me. Haven't had a nice/fast/whatever car that I actually have enjoyed driving.

2. I DON'T WANT A BMW/AUDI/whatever else I could get for the price, what options would they have that this doesn't? besides being a German POS and double the miles. It has 39k miles, not 80-100k and about to start costing me an arm and leg every month.

The price is what is it is, find me another SE-R Altima in Florida or the US for cheaper, that's cleaner and has low miles AND 6 speed. Pretty rare, but whatever I'll enjoy my car, doesn't really matter to me, you only live once right? might as well enjoy the ride.

Sweet ride, although did you look into getting a G35?

As far as the financial ramifications of your purchase... I wouldn't do what you did but won't comment further :p

thanks, and yeah I looked @ G's, but they are a dime a dozen, and most in the same price range had double the miles or so.

My insurance only went up like...20$ every 3 months. I was looking @ wrx's, g35's, 330ci's, mazdaspeed3's etc. but for the money this seemed to be the most bang for the buck and 'unique'.

But yeah, cars have always been a passion of mine and I have no other debt to my name so whatever, you spend money on things you enjoy.

I like it, 260HP, 6 speed should make for a sedan that's fast enough to be fun and not kill you at the gas pump, good choice IMO...
