New car ideas......

I'm looking for a new car and want to keep it around $20,000 give or take a little. I have been out of the loop car wise for a while and was wondering what you guys recommend. I am open to suggestions and am looking for a nice looking car that is gas economical. Also something the ladies will enjoy 🙂

Thanks,

Tri

Honda Accord LX sedan around $18,995.00 + TTL

Good looking, nice handling, FUEL EFFICIENT 4 banger, reliable, and excellent resale value.

That's an awesome deal but not as fuel efficient.

Does the V6 require premium?

How does reliability on new v6 accords compare to the 4 cylinder models?

Mazda3s. I may be partial to it because I own it, but I did cross-shop it with the Scion tC, and its 99% of the Scion tCs preformance with a lot more practicality - better ergo, much easier to check blind spots, options are reasonably priced. Most of the Scion tC options are either pure rice (2 different options on the rear spoiler, glowing blue lights in the base of the car, factory ground effects) or highly overpriced and impractical ($1500 for 18" alloy wheels and high-preformance tires on a FWD car? WTF?!). Scion also uses something called "pure pricing".... no dealer discount, you pay whatever is on the sticker. Mazda3s prices can be negotiated.

On the whole, I found the Mazda3s to have a more comfortable feel in general... the brake pedal felt firm, the shifter has a nice feel going into gear, and the overall ride is very smooth. The Scion tC brake pedal is really squishy to me, I almost rear-ended a car during the test-drive because of it. :Q

Good post. I've been looking at cars for a while, and biggest dilemma is Mazda 3 vs Scion tC

I know all the people around here will love this suggestion, VW GTI. 🙂 Awesome car for the price. The new ones will be here in a few months, and have already won multiple awards in europe.
