new to me, at least 🙂 I turned 25 today and with car insurance finally going down, I replaced by 1995 ford escort hand-me-down (my parents' originally bought it for my sister and gave it to me after she bought her own new car) with a 2003 mazda protege5.

being able to drive faster than 35 MPH without my entire car shaking rocks 😀
 
I've been driving a 2002 MP5 since, well... 2002! 😛

Standard? It's tons of fun for an econo-hatch ~ handles well and is a blast to drive, congrats!
 
My wife has the same car, she absolutely loves it. They're all over the place up here in Canada, apparantly Mazda had some nice 0% financing deal back when she bought them.
