New car, door fitment problems...

Bought a new GTI this past Saturday...and just noticed this morning going to work, one of the doors doesn't fit the body of the car... on the driver's side, the edge of the door starting about half way up doesn't line up w/ the body of the car. And the gap gets bigger and bigger until it is pretty noticeable at the top of the door. It is almost like someone bent the door outward.

Arrrgh, just had the car for 4 days now and just noticed Let's hope the dealership does the right thing and fix it for me.

Anyone ever run into this kinda problem? It should be covered under warranty right since it is a car quality problem?

If you get it fixed, it'll be covered by warranty. However, it's questionable whether the dealer will fix something that seems like a nitpick. Trust me, it'd bother me too if the body panel gaps didn't match up, but getting a dealer to see it the same way will take some work.

Oh I think this is more than nitpick though... it gets to be about half an inch apart and water can get possibly get in. I'll take some pics tonight when I get home

1/2"? Wow, that's a lot. Okay, perhaps it'll be easier to get 'em to fix it.

German quality FTW!

The dealer will fix it.

Sweet thanks guys, I love the car, but this is bothering me big time.

Way to go Vee-dub, representing Deustchland. I love VWs, but yeah German quality is way overrated
