Ya no kidding! And I was going to save for a Tokina 11-16 or Canon 10-22, but for THIS?? And it has IS?! Almost a no-brainer...

It really completes the STM Trilogy though (10-18 STM, 18-55 STM, 55-250 STM).
And you could include the 'dark horse' 40 STM pancake too

I saw that for a couple of days now. It is strange that Canon released the MTF for the 16-35mm, but no MTF for the 10-18mm, hence I'm going to wait for independent tests before I get too excited.

that's true, but it can't be that bad, can it? all the other STM lenses have been doing pretty well thus far...

IS on a 10-18?? I'd sooner have a metal connector or f/2.8 instead for still shots.

Probably for video, plus at f/4 it's not exactly fast so that might help a bit. But if you're doing landscape, tripods are probably already being used.
