I'm with ATT Broadband which apparently got sold to Comcast. So Comcast sent me a new cable Motorola SB4220 modem to replace my old Motorola cybersurfer modem. I changed it out today and it's definitely faster.

Has anybody else had to go through this?

Is the old cable modem worth anything? Maybe I will put it over in the For Sale forum.

Nope, IL. Outside Chicago.

We went from mediaone to @home to ATTBI and now to Comcast. What a pain.

Crazyfool, when my local provider upgraded their service [went from analogue to digital], I got a new modem that seemed almost twice as fast. Most likely it's a combination of both :)
