new cable modem company?

Well, I got this package from Comcast today. Even though I ordered internet through staples and said i would buy a modem, Comcast still sent me one with an install kit. Hmmm....I guess i could bring the install kit to best buy fro a refund. The modem is a terayon tj 715x. Never heard of Terayon. ANyoen here have any dirt on this company? Good? bad?

I had a Terayon since road runner first came out. Then they messed up a firmware flash of a bunch of em in my area🙁. The modem worked flawlessly until that point.

Is it a little blue one? If so, that's what I have. Works great. Much better than the old Shark Fine looking ones

Keep in mind that they will probably charge you $5/month to lease you that modem. Unless you want to keep paying that forever, keep the one you bought at staples and send the Comcast one back.
