Okay my new computer is up and running

AMD 64 3400+ @ 2.4Ghz (Stock HSF)
Chaintech ZNF3-250
1024mb OCZ 3500EB Platinum

I skipped the video card because I cant afford one yet, but I will get either X800XTPE or 6800U.

Neways, 1 prob:

When I just freshly installed windows it would start up much faster than it does now. All I have loaded was some drivers and Counter-Strike. Before it took about 20 Second to start up, now it takes about 35 which is even more than my p4 1.5Ghz and 512mb RDRAM 800. What can I do? Is it because I OCed? My RAM is currently running @ 433 and my volts are 1.65.

disable any ethernet controllers not being used? when there is an ethernet port, it probes for a connection for a while, that can slow down boot times like crazy.

Nope, no empty ethernet slots.

1 thing I do recall, I installed windows SP1 and ever since then it has been slower.

Could it possibly be my HD? Some of my friends say it is...

It is a Seagate 120.0GB S-ATA, 8MB cache

I doubt that it is the video card. This happens frequently, once you load up your drivers and then all of the Windows updates (Service packs included), you'll find your boot times start to increase. This is because when you install drivers, they initialize during boot time, rather than Windows just passing over them since there is no driver present. It may be lower than your old system due to the complexity of the newer drivers or Windows updates. Go to Start > Run > msconfig and go to the startup tab. Make sure nothing un-needed is checked here, because unwanted items will increase your boot time. Also make sure you have the latest BIOS version and all your settings are correctly enabled there. If you have loaded any Anti-Virus software, try disabling it, because sometimes it will do a small scan each time you boot up. Hope one of these helps! Your hard drive is a very nice model, and your memory running at 433 will not increase boot times, if anything, it will decrease them. Just double check everything, do a hard drive defrag (helpful after a new install, because you have just gotten done loading a bunch of files onto your PC, which can get things a little crazy), and enjoy your new rig!
