New bulid problems

Put together my 3rd build, frist two were no problems with different hardware. I have everyhting hooked up power on and get no image whatsoever on any monitor i use. I also tried puting in a AGP video card and run the monitors though it with no luck.

The MB powers on the keyboard lights up and to me(compleate newbie) everything seems to be working.

What are some common things that i could check that could cause this.

I have allready tried every jumper setting in the MB manual.

Could it simply be a bad piece of hardware?

Can i try and update the bios without being able to see anything? Perhaps with a usb stick?

This is the parts i have:

Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL3

Masscool 8W0141B Socket 775 CPU Cooling Fan 3.6GHz

Intel Celeron 341 2.93Ghz 533FSB Socket 775

Mach Speed Matrix P4MBMS Socket 775 Motherboard

Inland U-Case Black Mirco ATX w/ 300w Power Supply

Plus a old 20 gig hard drive

Thats an EM64T enabled celeron from what I have seen, and your motherboard requires bios version A03 in order to boot with that CPU. You can't flash the bios unless you get it to boot, so you'll have to see if you can borrow a CPU thats compatible in order to flash the bios.

Have you tried booting with the bare minimums? Does that PSU have the 4 pin 12v connector, and do you have it plugged in? Does that PSU have the 24pin ATX connector or only the 20pin?

First off thanks for the help.....

So to boot to flash the bios i would need to find a different socket 775 Proceser. Do i just check the motherboard website to find a compatible CPU?

I thought the problem might have been a crapy PSU so i upgraded to a 400w one. It has a 24pin and the 4pin conectors both of them are connected.

I have disconnected everything and put it back together twice so im pretty sure they my connectinos are good.

I have checked the motherboard website as i am typing this and can not find my MB on the compatibliity list anywhere. http://www.machspeed.com/cpusuplist.htm
Am i just blind and cant see it?

Are MBs just made by a third pary and then Jeyway or Machspeed justs adds some of thier own compenets and slaps thier sticker on it ?
