I just finished my build and was wondering what i had to do next, everything turns on, but when i tried to connect my pc to my monitor it wouldn't get signal. i was intending to install windows, but dont know if there's a problem or not.

Make sure the screen in connected before you turn it on. What kind of connection is it? If you have integrated graphics as well as a video card, try both connections. If you still aren't getting anything, a BIOS reset may help. If possible, you may want to try different connection types. And make sure your screen is set to the type of cable you are using.

If it still isn't working, a list of components may be helpful.

If you have integrated graphics and an independent video card, you may need to disable the integrated graphics option in your bios. Also, your monitor may have digital and analog input options. You may need to switch one or the other to find the video source.

So what is in your build? What did you connect the monitor to? what kind of monitor? What kind of cable? How are we suppose to know all this stuff if you dont tell us. Your question is too general.
