I'm in the process of selling my old build that i've had for a couple years now. I'm Switching to AMD for my proc and Graphics.

I got my wish list over @ Newegg. I'm planning a GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 AMD 890GX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard.

With a AMD Phenom II X4 925 Deneb 2.8GHz Socket AM3
8 gigs of G-skill Ram.
Right now the pc is going to be use for many different things Internet/Word Processing/Burning movies and music/I might even use as a HTPC since it is connected to my Home theater.

It will also be used for gaming including Wow and all the Bioware current stuff and up coming, And the Dawn of War series.

I'm going to be adding a discrete card for graphics because i don't believe the including on chip will be satisfactory just also not sure where a good price point is for amd.

Mostly i'm just wondering about the chip since i have no idea about Amd stuff

My budget is between 400-600 for all items including the card. Also i would like a psu to be recommended as well.

Also i'm pretty set on Gigabyte for the board because so far i haven't any problems after 4 boards.

Thanks

Bulldozer is the code name for the successor of the current AMD lineup, It will use socket AM3+ and will not be backwards compatible with socket AM3 (as previously thought) it is expected by the end of this half (so mid june at the latest if all goes well) It is rumoured to compete with current i7 offerings from Intel. It will be cheaper then Intel most likely BUT it will probably be more expensive then what you are currently looking at (though leaps and bounds beyond in performance)
