New build with nothing installed using massive CPU cycles

I just finished a brand new build with Windows 7. I have only installed the drivers off the motherboard CD including the ASRock eXtreme Tuner, the newest version of AMD CCC, Steam and Valley Benchmark. Nothing else. No games off Steam, nothing. Upon booting up this computer is sitting at around 50% CPU usage and over 3GB of RAM! The CPU will jump around from 20-70% but usually sits around 50-55%. I have never seen this before.

Any ideas? Here's some screenshots:

Thanks!

Specs?

Also, Aero doesn't seem to be enabled - is that on purpose? If not, could be an indication of a driver issue (which probably isn't related but you have to attack every issue)

Windows update could be eating all that RAM up, considering it's a fresh install.

Yeah, let us see all the processes.

if you just installed updates it takes a few minutes for windows to process them all afterwards as it does things in the background, especially for .net updates

Thanks for the input. When I rebooted a few times Windows would install 1-5 updates each time. This time, when I rebooted after the high CPU usage Windows had 166 updates to install! That would explain things.

Thanks again, everyone.
