New build with DFI UT NF3 250 cant boot with maxtor drive

I just put together a new system consisting of:
1. DFI NF3 250 mb-yes I updated the bios
2. sempron 2800
3. ocz platinum 2x512
4. mad dog 500w psu
5. zalman 7000 cooler
6. windows xp pro
7. HD 1 WD raptor 34g-os
8. HD 2 Maxtor 250 SATA

I had everything up and running fine until I tried to load the drivers for my Kworld tv tuner card. At that point I could no longer boot. I assumed it was a driver problem.
Since then I have taken out the tv tuner card, but now I cannot boot up if I have my maxtor hd plugged into any of sata ports.
I installed the maxtor on my old p3 and all was fine. I deleated a lot of things, did the check disk and all seems good on the p3. I still cannot put the maxtor back into the dfi board. Do maxtor and dfi have compatablility issues?
What do you recommend?
Thanks
Matt

I just installed another Maxtor HD 300g, just to see if it was my 250gb used hd, or just maxtor in general. Well when I installed the new unformatted hd, I got the eternal boot loop. It would go like this:
lanparty page/detecting aray/sounds like cd seeking/lanparty page/f1enter setup/
and on and on.
I unplugged the new maxtor and booted right up.

What is up with this? Is DFI that bad? I beat the crap out of my old asus cusl2, and it is still running strong.

well, thanks for all the help🙂. I figured it out. I uninstalled the nvidia ide drivers and now the maxtor works fine.

Another thing that will not work in the dfi board is my tv tuner card, I removed all drivers, cleaned the registry, plug it in and boom, crash, no boot.
I think I prefer asus now.
