New build update!

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that i finished my first build last weekend. I was very cautious and took all weekend to do it after reading all the manuels about 3-4 times. I have to say im very glad I got the full tower, it made placing the mobo and hsf very easy and then the moment of truth, powering this baby up!! I was expecting the big KABOOM.. but it posted right up, did the o/s install and everything worked the first time!!! I have not o/c it yet but would like to get to 4-4.5, is that ok for the e8600 ? i dont want to push it too much. I still need to do a lot more reading before I attemp that, just thanks for all the input you guys gave me..keep you posted.

congrats, 4-4.5 ghz might be a little stretch, but worth a shot.

4.5GHz would be a pretty high overclock, good luck with that.

Oh come on Blain ...the whole OT, CPU and VIDEO forums are blogs...probably more than that.

OP - Congrats on painless process. Beware though, once the bug bites it gets expensive!
