New build troubles

New build, just built today actually. Works fine until I start playing for like a half hour then it just kinda shuts down.

Athlon 64 Venice 3000+
2 x 512 Corsair XMS PC3200
MSI Neo4
Antect TruePower 2.0 430
XP SP2

Core center is going crazy. Reports good temps but now its making an alarming kind of sound. Any help if appreciated.

Not OCed. All at stock.

I just finished a built with a 754 msi neo 2. There was a problem with the fan control. But the real problem was with the core center.

To fix the problem I had to uninstall the core center and all MSI utilities. And then update the bios.

You do not need the core center unless you are overclocking. (And really do not even need it then)

I would suggest you first uninstall all the MSI utilities. Download mbm from majorgeeks.com shut down and reboot.

See what your temps are. If they are fine dont worry about it.

I checked and did see a new bios for your board but it said nothing about core center or fan controller.

Could Core Center be causing the shut down problems during WC3?

EDIT: It gave me temps around 36C~ but was still going crazy with that alarm sound.

Eventhough your chip is running cool if your cpu fan speed drops it will beep like crazy and ask you to shut down.

I uninstalled Core Center and DigiCell but left Live Update because that could be useful. Well it seems fine now, I just played about an hour and a half worth of WC3 and it was fine. It would usually crash 15 minutes in. Thanks for the suggestions.
