New build tommorrow. Help

I'm building my first computer tommorrow
8k7a+
1.333 athy
256mb ddr
60gxp 60gig
radeon 64mb
sounblaster 5.1
pioneer 106 slot dvd
antec sx1040 case
Taisol heatsink/fan
any tips for me, It is going to be my first build!!!!
I thinking windows 98, because I heard it is better for gaming, but I have both.

I don't know anything,(other than what I've read on this board) about bios.. setups etc
anybody got any good general tips for putting this sucker together.
step by step process would be nice..

if you plan on overclocking, or just plain care about heat, get arctic silver 2 thermal paste.

read up on how to apply thermal paste. arstechnica has a guide if i recall.

first put cpu, ram, videocard in, put the mother board in the case, and boot up. if all goes well, great.

then hook up the rest.

arstechnica has a pretty good more in depth guide.

I'm planning on overclocking in the future, but for now I will just want to run it stock for a while...

Try doing a search, there are likely to be some web sites that will take you through step by step, maybe even some cool pics too

Try to do a research on what stepping to get if you are going to overclock. I think for 1.3G, AYHJA "Y" is the best. Just what I think though
