What's your budget? I would ditch that antec power supply and get Enermax Liberty for extra 10 bucks, worth it. That motherboard already have DUAL CORE ready compatiable, no need to worry. Yeah, that RAM will work on ASUS A8N-E. Just stick with 7900gt for now.. you wont see much difference between 7900gt and 7900gtx. ;-]

I notice you picked an EPS power supply, is that intentional? What about the TruePowerII 550 with single 120mm fan?

Also, it appears that the NEC doesn't come with software. If it were me (which it recently was :D), I'd pick the BenQ DW1655. It comes with Nero 6 OEM suite, giving you burner software, DVD player and a basic video-encoding app. Plus it can do the LightScribe goodness if you have any needs for that. If you don't need LightScribe, there's a LiteOn burner with PowerDVD and Nero suite for about the same price as the NEC.

Enjoy your new rig

The ATX12V cable might have to take a pretty direct route to the A8N-E's receptacle, but it ought to reach.

Here is Asus's CPU-support chart for the A8N-E. It needs at least the 1006 BIOS to support your intended CPU. I don't know for sure what happens if you have a previous-version BIOS, maybe it POSTS but is confused about what the CPU is, maybe it doesn't.

If you were buying an A8N-E in person, you could look for the sticker on the box that says it supports A64 X2's, and/or open the box and look at the sticker on the BIOS chip to confirm what BIOS it's got in there. At this point in time, I'd hope that the A8N-E's in high-volume places like Newegg would all be "fresh" enough to have a recent BIOS, though.
