I need to upgrade a 10 year old sandybridge PC. I will keep the case (a silverstone FTO2 case but scrap almost everything else other than a couple of HDDs). My major requirement is being able to game at 1080p and potentially 1440p and being bootable from a NVME SSD. I don't want to have to upgrade again for another 5-10 years. I do some light statistical work on it but dont' need much computing power.
Budget right now is between 2-3 K but I would prefer closer to 2K.
I will not overclock
I have no brand preference
I'm not in a rush
