Well I just built a new comp:
A64 3000+ Winchester
Neo4 Plat
OCZ Performance EL Series 2-3-2-6
GeForce 6800 (NV41)

Im having problems overclocking, maybe I missed something, but I think I'm doing it right. I get a max overclock of a whopping 1.89 MHz. I bump down my HTT multiplier down to 4x, and proceed to up my fsb. I can get to 210 just fine, but when I try 220, my computer doesnt boot up. I brought my HTT down to 3x; still doesnt work. I downclocked my ram, still no work. I relaxed ram timings; nope. I increased voltage to both my ram and CPU, still no boot. Did I miss something, or do I just have a dud mobo/cpu?

Despite my proc overclocking, I have o/ced my graphics card to 410/750 stable. Really improved my 3D Mark score. How high can these things go?

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm,... did you disable spread spectrum, aggressive timing, dynamic overclocking and cool & quiet? Lock AGP and PCI? Read stickies?

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes.

I left the PCI at 100, and I may have wrongly assumed that it was equivalent to lock. Ill go and check my bios real quick.

Yes.

PCI at 100??? WTF....Do you mean PCI-e???

PCI should be 33 and AGP should be 66 or 67.....PCI-e I dont know (dont have a PCI-e card yet...)

What is the ram divider and cas timings set to right now???

are you running the latest bios for the board???

the performace series are timed for 400ddr so as soon as you start OCIng you better relax the timinsg or start running up the vdimm.....2.75...2.8...2.85....etc...220fsb is 440ddr and likely wont do that without plenty of vdmm and probably less timings...My GSkills are rated at 2-2-2-5 at 400ddr and they will run 440ddr at cas 2-3-3-6.....

PCI-E at 100.

I have not updated the bios yet, as I am waiting for a floppy drive :).

My mem timings are 2-3-2-6; when I "overclock", I drop the mem speed down to 100 and CPU mult to 4x. I think that my chipset cannot support greater than 220 fsb.

Use winflash...It lets you flash from windows...just do it at stock or known stable speed and you will be fine....I have used it a lot in the last few months..no issues...

Have you tried bumping the vcore a notch?? This board does undervolt like all the msi boards...You may be giving it less then default vcore, vdimm, and vagp t this moment....
