Now, with everything connected, the green light in the bottom right of the mobo does turn on, so it seems like the mobo is getting power I assume, but that's all the activity I get. When I hit the power button, nothing happens at all, it's almost like a dead PS issue, but since the green light goes on, I assume some power is going into the machine. It's not like the fans start spinning and I get beeps, I get nothing.

I attached a picture, not that it will help much. I've checked the power wiring to the mobo, it seems right, I tried booting with just one stick of RAM with no luck. I've built machines before but not in a few years, never had an issue like this.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Should have an update today, nothing I did worked, taking it to a friend today to troubleshoot further. I'll post updates as I get them. Thanks.

I can't tell from the picture, but do you have the ATX12V plugged in? Also, try manually shorting the power switch header with a screwdriver or whatever to make sure that it isn't an issue with the power button itself.

So, you gave up on following our advice and learning about troubleshooting yourself?

Sorry for the delay. No I didn't give up troubleshooting myself, I just did everything I could. My friend had some extra parts I wanted to try (PS & RAM) to see if anything helped, and it did. It was a PS issue, which was confusing because the green mobo light would go on, but wouldn't boot. With his PS (650w Seasonic) it booted, I had a 500w, but that shouldn't make a difference because it wasn't a power hungry build. The PS was the first thing I tried, so when it worked I just assumed that was the answer. I'm RMAing the PS, and i'll post when the new one comes in, assuming it works.

I would have never figured that out troubleshooting because I had no spare parts, if it was a software issue I would have stayed on these forums all week.

Video Card?????

I was using integrated video, but thanks.
