Hey all, So I am attempting to build a computer and I need your opinion on the parts for the computer. I have $700 to spend on a computer. I have never built one but with the help of this forum and other online guides, I am going to attempt building one.

Please include your opinion for a system, the parts etc.

My Requirements: I use the computer for photo editing, images (digicam), videos (camcorder), browsing, CD-DVD burning. I am not too particular on games...I think a decent card should do...nothing exorbitant since this a mid range PC.

I don't need a monitor or speakers. I would like to have the system in black. I would also like the system to be generally quiet and this is a higher priority. If I need a bigger budget, please let me know. And any other questions are welcome.

After talking to some people on other forums, here is what I've come up with:

1) Here is a case ( http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-120&depa=0 ) I am looking at, but $95 seems too much to justify for it. Can you tell of better options or why I have to spend more money on a case?

2) Video Card: Please give your opinion of the best one within $100 for me.

3) I need an OS, so I guess that'll be another $100- $120

4) I need a Firewire card, NIC, and a good Sound Card (I listen to music on the computer, I have kickass speakers but not a good sound card....please choose one for me)

Thats' all I can think of for now...
thankyou

change the motherboard to the shuttle AN35N-Ultra if you do not need all of the xtra features. its MUCH cheaper.

get the 9600pro video card

you dont need a NIC because there is one onboard the motherboard.
