Hey everybody.

I was wondering what everybody thinks of my new build. mainly used for rendering and game programming. I tried to squeeze everything I needed into my tiny budget. Still haven't quite made a final deciscion on the psu so any input would be nice.

Q6600 prob oc to about 3ghz
gskill 4gb pc 1000 ram
GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L mb (pcie-2.0 mainly plus i really like gigabyte's record lately)
ati radeon 4850 (replacing stock sink w/ Thermaltake CL-G0102)
ZALMAN CNPS9700 cpu cooler(would the XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 give me better cooling?)

and either the
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W
PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W
or the
OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI 600W

eventually i'll be getting 3 sata hdd and 2 sata dvdrw.

i'm focusing on the main components cause my celeron 2.4ghz and radeon 9600 are getting waaaaaaaay too old to do anything properly.
lemme know what you think.

You don't really need anything faster than DDR2-800 for what you're doing, so I'd go with that if it's cheaper. From what I've seen, the Xigmatek would probably give you better cooling, and would definitely give you better value for your money.

With your setup you don't need more than 500W if you want to save some cash there. The PCP&C "Silencer" is nowhere near silent from everything I've read.
