new build help x99

The PSU feels a little underpowered, if you're going to be overclocking. The RAM seems a little small for 3DS Max. Also remember that some versions of Win7 have smaller RAM limitations than Win8 and higher.

Is the WD Black purely for mass storage? If so, there are cheaper options. I'd rather see you just put that $70.00 towards a larger 500GB SSD instead.

The PSU is powerful enough for a single GPU system, and a real good price after rebate. I use the same RAM and enjoy it.

SSDs have come down enough to consider a larger one in place of the usual SSD/HDD combo. 500GB is usually adequate, since external storage options and NAS have become so common.

Very nice component selection all around. Couldn't have came up with better parts myself. I would get a bigger HDD though... Power supply is fine unless you SLI.

I'd get a cheaper Toshiba 4 tb drive., the WD black won't net much of a decrease in loading times... Or get a really big SSD.
