I'd try removing the cmos battery and booting. Basically, this forces the bios to run at default settings, since without the battery no settings can be saved.

I'd hate to say it, but this is a hard problem to diagnose. The sure-fire way to troubleshoot is by disconnecting all non-essential hardware and try booting (to POST, you need just the psu, mobo, cpu, and memory). If this fails, then you try switching out hardware to see which is causing the problem. If you have no extra hardware, I'd recommend getting a psu tester, as the psu is often the culprit in many of these problems.

Also pull one of the memory chips out and try one at a time. Try them in different dims as well.

If you have another machine where you can run memtest86 on them do it.

Thanks,
I'll try booting without without the battery,Then i'll try booting with minimum hardware. I've tried to reset the cmos, but that didn't work. I also tried booting with just one stick of memory, to no avail.
I've built many computers and never had this kind of wide spread failure. The one that gets me is the cd-roms, One has the light on steady and one doesn't light up at all. Strange, maybe it's a power issue, I don't know. I'll get to work on your suggestions and see what happens. Thanks again. I must say the fact that I only have 9 posts is a direct result of the depth of information and advise I have read on these forums.
