Hey guys, my parents want to build them a new computer and I've been out of the loop for a while. My understanding is that I can either go AM3 or P55 (don't really need X58 for the parents), and I would need a rock-solid, trouble free mobo for either route. Everything but the CPU/Mobo/Ram has been covered, just need some advice on that. Budget is around 800$ for everything. Thanks!

Heya,

You have $800 for a machine for your parents and all you actually need is the CPU/Mobo/RAM? You can get that for like $250, and I'm talking Quadcore with 4Gb of ram.

What are they going to do with this machine?
