This is a request for comment and opinions. Mostly, this is for fun, so don't get too wrapped up.
Uses: FPS games, Flight sim and Lightroom.
My first new rig since 2013, this is the plan:

Ryzen 5800x w Noctua U14S
Asus TUF x570-Pro
Asus TUF 3070 or 3080 OC
Trident Z DDR4-3600 CL16 4x8
970 EVO Plus 2tb and 4x 860 EVO 1TB
Fractal Meshify 2 w 5x Noctua NFA14
Reusing a 2012 version of the Corsair HX850
BenQ EW3280U

Notes:
I wanted a 5600x, but the 5800x was available.
I chose the pro version of the mobo for the extra usb-c header for the case front panel.
Everything is in shipping or on my desk except the 3070/3080 card, so I will keep my GTX970 FTW in service with the hope 3000 series stocks will become available in Jan/Feb. I'm not hung up on these cards, I would happily get one from another company.
Since RGB is fashionable, and the case will be readily seen, I will add a bunch of pointless RGB hypnotic eye puke. I'm learning the ins and outs this week, let me know if you have a suggestions. :)

Any setup tips I should watch out for or articles I should read?

Heya,

It'll do. I would think you'd have a 2nd monitor for this budget class.

Read articles on how to setup the RAM timings since you're technically running an overclock setup on it and how to watch for errors since you're running unsupported RAM speeds (overclocked) on a system that is supporting 3200mhz max.

Very best,

I will do that.
As I understand it, these are physically the same as the CL14-3200 kit, just a different name on the package. I couldn't find anything that exactly confirms or denies this, but the description on the G.Skill page implies it. I planned to get a CL14-3200 kit but they seem to be sold out or at a scalpers prices. These are Neo variants.
