New build, everything working except audio....

Got my system working and I am pretty pleased with it.

However, none of the audio outputs are working (front or on the board). The board is a DFI nf4 SLI Infinity. I have installed the drivers and the device manager says it is working.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Are you using onboard sound? If you are you should make sure your BIOS settings don't have it disabled (my experience is that onboard sound is always enabled by default). Most likely you're just overlooking something.

Does that board have jumper pins for directing the sound to either the front or rear ports? Maybe you set them wrong.

If it's showing up in Device Manager it ought to be enabled. There might be some other weird BIOS settings related to it of course.
