Hey, so I'm building my first computer and I was just hoping someone wouldn't mind giving the parts I'm buying a once over just to make sure everything is compatible (I'm pretty sure it is but I just want to be on the safe side):

CPU: i5-2500k

Checks out all fine, although you don't need the 1866 MHz RAM unless you're benching etc. Might as well grab a CoolerMaster Hyper Evo 212+ as its better than the crappy Intel stock cooler. Could you try to squeeze in a SSD?
 
Hey thanks for the fast reply, I got the ram brand new for 40 bucks and it was cheaper then the 1600 so there wasn't any point in not getting it. Ya I'm hoping to add an SSD and get a custom cooler within the next couple months after purchase, right now I'm pretty much at my budget. Thanks again for the reply I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask just to make sure I didn't buy a part that wouldn't work with another part.

I did look at the questionnaire for builders but I didn't really think that any of the questions applied as I wasn't looking for any information other then whether or not the parts I had already selected to buy worked together. But next time if it's preferred I could still fill it out.

Indeed, you were only looking for info on compatibility, but I was looking for info to see whether you've made the right part choices. You may be confident that you have, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
