After a ton of research and help from you guys I finally ordered my new system. It will include:
e6400
p5b deluxe non-wifi
enermax liberty 500w
2gig patriot 5300 ram
7900gto
seagate 320gb drive
I'm upgrading from a:
A64 3200 winchester
KN8 neo2 mobo
x800pro
1gig 3200 ddr ram
I thought I would make this post to show my experience and performance increases to going to the new system. So my request to you guys is, for anyone thats in the same boat as me and would like to see certain benchmarks before and after the new install please post in here. I will run the normal cpu speed, memory speed, 3dmark results; but if anyone has any specific benchmarks please let me know. I plan on benching everything with the old system, then the new system, then the new system overclocked, to show the real work increase.
I will post the benchmarks later today since I'm not at my computer at the moment.
P.S. any advice would also be appreciated. Any tricks to installing this new system? Whats this AHCI installation deal I keep hearing about? Hopefully everything will go smoothly and I wont need you guys
