Why are you getting a 800W PSU? A PSU of half that power output would do just as well (and more efficiently too probably).

There is the Antec Neo ECO 400W for just $25 AR, which is good enough, but if you're looking for something beefier, then get the XFX Core Edition Pro 650W for $66 AR. The Corsair GS is a pretty good PSU, but you'd be paying way too much money for power you won't use.

With the money saved, you can get a beefier graphics card.

FYI, XFX 650W could handle 6850 crossfire with absolute ease. It could even handle 6950 2GB crossfire if needed. $50 AR shipped on ncix.us. What resolution do you game on?

Also, Asus P8Z68-V LE is not meant for crossfire. Your PSU+mobo should both be crossfire compatible, or neither.

Change the HDD to Hitachi 1TB, it's faster (single platter). Would also go with Crucial M4 over Vertex 3.

Thermaltake Frio is kinda loud and expensive. You'd be fine with Coolermaster 212 Evo or Scythe Mugen 3.

8GB Patriot RAM for $28 AR.

Do you even know if you'll like the Logitech g9x? The most important thing about a mouse is that it's comfortable in your hand in terms of shape, texture, size, weight. And you won't know until you've tried it. I'd recommend against spending $55 on a mouse before you've had the chance to give it a try.

Right now i have a Razer mamba and it is starting to double click for a single click and its a bog mouse and pretty heavy. I like heavy mice and after reading about to logitech i like the reviews and comment plus the adjustable weight is nice.

Alternatively, for aftermarket cpu cooler:
Thermalright HR-02 Macho $51

It's kinda huge, but it's also uber quiet.

As for the mouse... I had a G5, but it ended up having a failing button. Even now, my G500 is having intermittent issues with the right click. I'm not sure I'd expect miracles from Logitech.

Yeah, but you still won't know until you try it.

I agree with the general sentiment of lehtv and fffblackmage. A gaming machine should focus on the GPU first.

I would swap:
- The RAM as lehtv recommended (-$16)
- The HDD as lehtv recommended (-$20)
- The SSD as lehtv recommended (+$25 AR)
- The HSF to the Hyper 212 Evo as lehtv recommended (-$34)
- The PSU to the XFX Core 650W as fffblackmage recommended (-$65)
- The GPU to the 6950 2GB (+$110 AR)

That works out to the same price, but gives you an overall better balanced machine with much improved gaming performance and responsiveness.

OK made some changes to the wish list for system dropped the HDD since prices are so high and will just stick with what i have unless the price drops by the time taxes come back and this system get ordered. there are two different monitors listed. Trying to figure out which would be better. dont really need to 6950 so staying with the 6850 it will more than play what games i play. the Patriot ram listed has a 31% neg. feedback i dont think i like that much neg feedback. other than those let me know what ya think and which monitor you guys like more.

Thx in advance

like i said i dont need the 6950 and i dont like the ram a 33% negative review doesnt seem like a smart buy to me .

Not needing a 6950 2GB is fine, but that also means that you don't need to spend $1200.

As for the RAM, never trust Newegg reviewers in terms of DOA percentage. 90% of people who leave a 1 egg review are idiots who don't know what they're doing and blame the parts. That being said, the RAM lehtv recommended is back up to $40, so I would get this PNY for $32 instead.

ok so i put the 6950 in there . which of the the two monitors would you guys get

Nice job! You can never have too much GPU powaaaa.

The Samsung is a better monitor, but I dunno if it is $40 better than the Acer. If it were me and I had only those two choices, I would get the Samsung. I am picky about monitors though.
