Hello everyone..
Been a member for a while but my first post here.. sorry it has to be a couple of dumb questions.. first of all this is like the 20th system I have built.. I have NEVER had any issues before until this one..
When I power up... it kicks on.. then off for only a half of second, then powers up fully, I get an annoying long beep for about 2 seconds (which the manual says is a Dram problem.. ?) So.. here is the system:

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Mobo
Intel E6700 CPU, with Huge (and dangerous might I add LOL) Zalman heatsink
A-DATA Extreme Edition 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model ADQVD1A16K
SAPPHIRE 100196L Radeon X1950PRO 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card
and I am running a 520W power supply...

Now.. with this Mobo only having one IDE slot and myself having 2 ATA drives and one SATA.. I have some issues (I know.. I should have checked.. but most boards come with at least two IDE ports! LOL) So I have a problem, do I get a SATA card that has an IDE slot in it, or do I get the IDE --> SATA converter that lets me plug the ide into the SATA spaces?

THanks for your help everyone!

Charles

Answer to question 1: memtest the RAM and if faulty RMA it, if that doesn't fix the problem it is the motherboards fault.

Answer to question 2: You are just fine. You are fully able to set the 2 drives in a master/slave on one cable and hook the SATA drive up to a SATA port. No further purchases are required, unless of course, you do not have an IDE cable.
