1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
1. Programming, compiling large projects (so storage throughput, core count and ram important)
2. Light scientific computation (NOT machine learning - static code analysis. Usually needs ram, core and storage throughput)
3. Light gaming (Zero-K, *maybe* Doom? I can do lower settings)
Will run linux primarily. Maybe dual-boot win for gaming.
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
US/Boston. Microcenter and newegg mostly.
4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.

4K would be nice. If it pushes the price above the point can do 2K
